Installation is versatile, with the pet door designed to fit a screen frame no thicker than 1/2". For thicker frames, the adapter can be modified to fit your specific needs. Do note that prior to installation, it is essential to check the clearance needed to open the screen, as the locking cover frame may protrude about 1/2" from the front of the interior frame.

The Pride Pet Door for Screens comes with a fiberboard locking cover for added security when the pet door is not in use. The white cover contrasts the black flap, ensuring that your pet is aware that the flap is unavailable for use. The locking cover is designed to be breakable in case your pet accidentally crashes into it from the wrong side, ensuring their safety.

Please Note:

• The Pride pet adapter is intended to fit in a screen frame no thicker than ½". If your screen frame is thicker than this, you will need to cut one of the U-shaped flanges with a table or jig saw creating an L-shape, allowing you to screw the pet door frame directly onto your screen door.
• Prior to installing, check the clearance needed to open the screen. The Pride Pet Door locking cover frame will protrude about ½" from the front of the interior frame. If the screen is next to the door, that sliding glass door track could potentially interfere with fully opening the screen. If the locking cover does interfere with opening the screen door all the way, the locking cover tracks can be removed by drilling out the rivets that hold it.
